We find out the five showtunes Andrew McMinn would take with him to a desert island. Andrew is currently rehearsing for 'White Christmas' and plays the role of 'Phil Davis'. 'White Christmas' opens in the Carnegie Theatre, Workington on 27th November and runs until 2nd  December 2017.

Hello - Book of Mormon

A fitting start to the list, Hello! Combines that all too familiar feeling of your doorbell ringing with an immense amount if joy and laughter, making it one of the best openings to a musical I can imagine. Just try and listen to it without cracking a huge grin!

Magic Changes - Grease

One of the most enjoyable shows I’ve taken part in, Grease is sure to appear in almost any list of great productions. However, performing this song is one of the standout moments of all my times on stage during my ten years with WAOS. That magic feeling never changes.

Suddenly Seymour - Little Shop of Horrors

After hearing a song played non stop for a solid week some may get sick of it (my parents sure did) but not me. In fact you can still see me blasting out harmonies to this classic on my way to work in the morning.

The Best Things Happen While You're Dancing - White Christmas

True to its name, this song sure does put a smile on my face. Whether that’s because of my attempt at a waltz or Philippa shouting at me for getting a step mixed up, I don’t know. Either way I fail to think of a more soothing and satisfying number.

Always Look on the Bright Side of Life - Spamalot

If you’re not whistling along in your head you clearly haven’t listened to this song enough. After performing this song in one of my first concerts, it never fails to get everyone up and singing along; some of the slightly cleaner lines of course. I just can’t wait to experience this in WAOS' production of Spamalot in 2018.
